What Is The Age Requirement At Pull-A-Part?
Yes, you must be at least 16 years old or older to enter any Pull-A-Part yard. This is an insurance requirement. Proof of age, such as a government-issued photo I.D. may be required for entry. All customers are required to sign a waiver before entering the yard.

Can I buy a whole car from your salvage yard?
If you are looking for a "parts car" or need multiple parts from a vehicle we have on our display yard, it may be more cost-effective for you to purchase the whole car from us. Pull-A-Part and U-Pull-&-Pay stores now sell whole cars.
As salvage vehicles, these cars are sold as "parts cars" and are not eligible to be re-titled. If you are interested in purchasing a whole car we have on the yard at any Pull-A-Part or U-Pull-&-Pay location, please speak with the store manager or retail manager who will be happy to assist you with your purchase.

At Pull-A-Part we are welcoming to all customers.
For customers with disabilities, who require motorized vehicles or have other ambulatory challenges, please know that the areas outside of our buildings may be uneven and present possible challenges or risks for you. The surfaces in our yard are covered with multiple levels of gravel and are not paved.You are permitted to drive your assisted motorized vehicle on the yard after signing a waiver. We will do everything we can to help accommodate you during your visit. Please keep in mind that Pull-A-Part is a do-it-yourself (DIY) operation and there may be some limits to how much assistance we can provide.
If you require a service animal, please inform our staff upon your arrival. If you require your animal during your visit, please know that the yard can pose some risks for your animal and we do require a waiver prior to entry.

Firearms Policy
We respectfully require that our employees and customers do not bring firearms into our stores unless they are authorized law enforcement. We acknowledge and respect the rights of everyone involved in this important, often emotionally charged, debate. As we do with other important issues related to our business, we listen to our customers and team—and use the feedback we receive in our decision making.
All the law enforcement we work with every day have told us that they try to abide by the posted signs at any establishment unless they are there conducting official business. However, due to the recent issues our country has faced, some are now required or advised to carry side arms at all times. For customers who are law enforcement personnel and are required to carry, we ask that they present the proper police identification card in order to enter the store and yard with the side arm. Also, law enforcement, along with other service personnel, always receive free entry on the yard with their identification.

What Forms of Payment Does Pull-A-Part Accept?
Pull-A-Part accepts cash and major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover) as forms of payment. Pull-A-Part does not accept business or personal checks at this time.

Parts Return and Warranty Policy
Pull-A-Part Standard Return and Exchange Policy
Most parts include a 30-day warranty. If you are not 100% satisfied with your used auto parts purchase, you may return or exchange the item(s) within 30-days of the original purchase with your receipt. We will not accept parts for return or exchange without a receipt. Parts can be exchanged for matching parts or returned for a store credit that can be used at any Pull-A-Part location. With the exception of core deposits, we do not offer cash refunds for returned parts. The returned part(s) must be the original part purchased, properly marked with the original Pull-A-Part marking, and not disassembled.
All exchanges or returns are at the discretion of the Store Manager. If you have any questions or issues related to returns or exchanges, please contact us.
Exceptions
Tires and Wheels
Tires and wheels have a 3-day limited warranty. You may exchange or return tires and wheels (for store credit) within 3 days of your original purchase with a receipt.
Hybrid Batteries
Hybrid batteries are not covered by Pull-A-Part’s Standard Return and Exchange Policy. These items are sold “AS-IS” and are not eligible for exchange or return.
Used Coolant, Washer Fluid, Thrift Store Items
Pull-A-Part does not provide a warranty for used coolant, windshield washer fluid, fuses, or thrift store items. These items are sold “AS-IS” and are not eligible for exchange or return.
Extended Warranty
Pull-A-Part offers a 120-day extended warranty on some types of used auto parts for an additional fee. If the part(s) you are purchasing are eligible for an extended warranty, your cashier will inform you of this option at your time of purchase. If you purchase an extended warranty, your part(s) may be exchanged for matching parts or returned for store credit within 120-days of the original purchase with your receipt. Core returns are still limited to 30-days regardless of the warranty term.
Core Returns
All Core returns are gladly processed, and cash is provided in return for the core if the return is within 30 days of the original purchase (receipt required for core returns).

Members of Pull-A-Part’s free VIP Club Membership Program (our customer loyalty program) get online access to receipts and warranty information via their VIP Club Membership account online. Join our free VIP Club Program and register for online access so you’ll never lose or misplace your receipts (and not be able to exchange or return parts during the valid warranty period). Does my store credit expire?
No, it doesn't! However, if you're not a VIP member, it's your responsibility to keep track of the receipt with your listed credits.
VIP Rewards earned on qualifying retail purchases of used auto parts (currently 3% of the subtotal of the used auto parts you purchase) will be displayed as "VIP Rewards Credit" under the "Credits" section of your VIP Club Membership account online. Your VIP Rewards Credit does not expire - you may redeem at any time towards future retail purchases of used auto parts or yard admission. You may also apply your VIP Rewards Credit towards the purchase of used cars at participating locations. How do I sign-up for Sales Tax Exemption?
To sign-up for sales tax exemption, please visit your local Pull-A-Part store and ask for the store manager or retail chief. A couple of key points:
- You will need to present documentation at each store that you buy from as they have to keep records on file locally.
- Each State has its own requirements. As such, you will need to sign-up for sales tax exemption in each respective State. There is not any form that will work from state to state.

Is there a global exemption certificate that can be used in multiple states?
No, unfortunately there are no global rules regarding exemption certificates. Each state has its own set of exemption certificates as well as rules and regulations covering their use. However, some general rules do apply. Since not every state has every exemption in place, local rules and local compliance requirements must be considered.

What is the price of each part?
Our price list is in two places:

Our pricing model is unique, but makes perfect sense…so it is easy to understand.
Each specific part has the same price, regardless of the make, model or year of the car in which you find it.
So the price for a 6-cylinder engine is fixed, whether it is in a 1972 Plymouth Fury or 1996 Mercedes. Simple, Easy and huge savings - that is the Pull-A-Part way.

This involves the proper treatment of waste fluids, disposal of dead batteries, recycling of tires, and managing other materials that could harm the environment.

As is common in our industry, we charge an Environmental Fee as part of the Environmental and Services Fee to offset the rising costs of meeting these essential environmental safety standards.

What is a core charge?
A “Core Charge” is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda.In many states, to promote recycling, you are charged a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and you receive your deposit back when you return the empty can.Many automotive parts have a Core Charge, or Core Price, that works the same way as a soda can deposit. Rather than paying full price for the replacement part, you save real money when you return your original part as well as help the environment.*Here’s how the Core Charge works:
- The part you are purchasing contains a component that is recyclable
- The Core Charge deposit is charged at the time of purchase
- When the recyclable component from your old part is returned to us, the charge is refunded to you
- If you have the old part with you at the point of purchase, you will not have to pay this charge
To receive your Core Charge refund:
- Bring the old part to any Pull-A-Part store along with your receipt - this will be refunded in cash, not store credit.
Core Charges are often mandated by state legislature, and, as such, the actual core charge and taxes on the charge may vary depending on the state in which you buy your part.

Pull-A-Part has always been a do-it-yourself (DIY) salvage yard. We frequently refresh our inventory and maintain clean, organized yards to help you find and pull the used auto parts you need for your repairs. This DIY model helps customers save the most money.
New for 2021, Pull-A-Part now provides limited part-pulling services at all of our used auto parts retail locations. This means we now pull SOME parts for an additional fee. If you are short on time or aren't able to pull the part yourself, but you would still like to save money on your part, you may want to give our new part-pulling service a try.
The list of used auto parts we pull (and associated part-pulling fees) are subject to change, as we continue to roll this service out and expand the list of used auto parts we will remove for you. Please keep in mind that our part-pulling service fee ONLY includes pulling the part for you. For traditional DIY used auto parts customers: Regarding the assistance we do provide - all vehicles on display are elevated for you. We supply an A-Frame and Hoist to assist you in the removal of an engine or a transmission. We also will provide a lift to help you move the engine or transmission to the exit.

How can I find a specific part?
Pull-A-Part is a do-it-yourself salvage company. With people pulling parts off vehicles all day long, we cannot determine what parts are still left on individual vehicles. For that reason, we inventory only cars, not parts.You can search two places:

Can I get more details from the vehicle VIN?
When you select the yellow 'View' button next to the vehicle(s) on your search results, we are able to provide engine, transmission and body style information. This isn't available for all vehicles - but we're working to close that gap. Also, we're not able to provide specifics related to interior type or exterior color today.

VIP Club
What are the qualifications or requirements for VIP Rewards?
Starting in 2023, Pull-A-Part has added a "VIP Rewards" benefit to its VIP Club Membership Program (the customer loyalty program for both Pull-A-Part and U-Pull-&-Pay customers - U-Pull-&-Pay is now a Pull-A-Part Company).
Verified, active VIP Club Members are now eligible to earn VIP Rewards (3% store credit) on all qualifying retail purchases made at either Pull-A-Part or U-Pull-&-Pay stores* (a qualifying retail purchase is typically the subtotal of used auto parts purchased at a store - some exceptions apply).
VIP Club Membership accounts are "verified" when customers click a "verification link" sent to them via text message or email (according to user preference) during the enrollment process (standard message and data rates apply for SMS text messaging).
VIP Club Membership accounts are "activated" when customers setup online account access (done by setting a username and password and logging into their account).
If a VIP Club Member has not completed one or both of these steps, they may be listed as "inactive" in the VIP Club Membership system. To re-activate your VIP Club Membership account, please use the password reset feature here.
As an additional requirement for earning VIP Rewards, VIP Club Members must maintain their preferred method of contact (text messaging or email) in order to receive exclusive VIP-only coupons, discounts, and other promotional messages (typically 1-2 messages per month) - as well as to earn VIP Rewards. If a VIP Club Member opts-out of their preferred contact method (the option they chose during the registration process), they may continue to use other program benefits, but will not receive promotional messages OR be able to earn VIP Rewards. VIP Club Members may opt-in (or re-opt-in) to their preferred contact method by logging into their VIP Club account online and updating their contact preferences.
Pull-A-Part does not require text messaging or email opt-in for participation in the VIP Club Membership Program, but Members are required to remain opted-in to their preferred contact method to qualify for VIP Rewards and to receive monthly promotional text messages or emails (again, standard message and data rates apply for text messages).
Qualifying Purchases
VIP Rewards have no monetary value beyond store credit. VIP Rewards are issued at 3% of the value of qualifying retail purchases made at either participating Pull-A-Part or U-Pull-&-Pay locations. The VIP Rewards Credit is calculated on the subtotal price of used auto parts purchased (after any discount and before any taxes or fees are applied).
VIP Club Members must use their VIP Club Membership at the time of purchase in order to earn a VIP Reward (VIP Rewards will not be issued retroactively after the time of purchase). VIP Club Members may present their digital VIP Club Membership Card (available online by logging into the VIP Club Member account) or a Member may ask a store associate to lookup their VIP Club Membership at the time of purchase (and to apply their purchase to their VIP Club Membership at the time of purchase).
The VIP Reward for qualifying purchases is displayed on the retail receipt and digital copies of receipts are available in the VIP Club Member's account online. Any VIP Rewards store credit will be displayed as "VIP Rewards Credit" in the "Credits" section of the VIP Club Member's account online.
VIP Club Members may not earn VIP Rewards credit on the purchase of used cars at locations that sell used cars, but VIP Rewards store credit may be applied towards the purchase of used cars at participating locations. VIP Club Members may not earn VIP Rewards credit on purchases made using VIP Rewards (you cannot earn additional VIP Rewards on purchases made using store credits - including VIP Rewards Credit).
Bulk Buyers and/or Commercial Customer Limitations
Bulk buyers and/or commercial customers (including all businesses) are prohibited from earning VIP Rewards store credit. This applies to any customer that has an existing discount or preferred pricing agreement with Pull-A-Part or U-Pull-&-Pay, a Pull-A-Part Company. All bulk buyers and/or commercial customers are prohibited from earning VIP Rewards store credit. Violation of this requirement may result in termination of a customer's VIP Club Membership account, VIP Rewards, or any commercial agreement between a business and Pull-A-Part or its subsidiaries or affiliates.

The VIP Club Membership Program and all program benefits (including VIP Rewards) are governed by any existing Terms and Conditions and/or Privacy Policies for Pull-A-Part or U-Pull-&-Pay.

How do I redeem my VIP Rewards?
Once you have VIP Rewards (store credit) available in your account, you may redeem your VIP Rewards Credit at the time of purchase when paying for used auto parts or yard admission. Simply tell the store associate you would like to apply your credit towards your purchase. Your VIP Rewards activity will be displayed on your receipt and your VIP Rewards Credit balance will be adjusted based on the value of the store credit you use.
To check your VIP Rewards balance, you can ask a store associate to look up the available store credit balance you have or you can view your VIP Rewards in your VIP Club account online (located under "Credits" in your account). Your VIP Rewards will be displayed as "VIP Rewards Credit."
Your VIP Rewards never expire and there is no limit to the amount of VIP Rewards you may earn (VIP Rewards are simply 3% store credit on the subtotal of used auto parts purchased).

Can I redeem VIP Rewards for anything other than store credit?

For further clarification:

- VIP Rewards are NOT transferrable to other VIP Club Members or any other individuals (VIP Rewards may only be used by the VIP Club Member who earned them) - however, a VIP Club Member may pay for somebody else using their VIP Club Membership account
- VIP Rewards are NOT redeemable for anything other than store credit

How soon can I use my VIP Rewards?

Does my VIP Club Membership include free admission?
When you join the VIP Club Program for the first time, you will receive two free yard admissions to use on future visits to either Pull-A-Part or U-Pull-&-Pay stores. These "free admissions" are added as "store credit" in your account that is equal to the value of two free yard admissions. You may use these free admissions for you or a guest.
After you have used your free admissions store credits, you will continue to receive $1 off yard admission on all future visits to the yard when you use your VIP Club Membership at admissions at our yard.
Pull-A-Part also offers free admission for all active and veteran service members and local first responders. Please show your government-issued ID to our associate at admissions to receive your free admission. Thank you for your service!

I forgot to use my VIP Card. Can I get my VIP Rewards?
You must use your VIP Club Membership at the time of purchase to earn VIP Rewards (as well as to have a digital copy of your receipt added to your VIP Club account online).
We are not able to add this information to your account AFTER you make a purchase, so please remember to use your VIP Club Membership (available as a digital card by logging into your account on your mobile device or computer).
If you forget your VIP Card or are unable to look it up on your mobile device at the time of purchase, simply ask a store associate to look up your account information for you.

How do I check my VIP Rewards balance?
Starting in 2023, VIP Club Program Members now earn VIP Rewards - 3% store credit - on all qualifying retail purchases of used auto parts. When you make a qualifying retail purchase, you will see your VIP Rewards displayed on your purchase receipt. You can also check your VIP Rewards balance (as well as digital copies of your retail receipts) by logging into your VIP Club Membership account online.
If you are not earning VIP Rewards on your purchases, either your purchase does not qualify for VIP Rewards or you may have opted-out of text messaging or email for your primary contact method (the contact method you selected when signing up for your VIP Club account). You must be enrolled in text messaging or email for your preferred contact method to earn VIP Rewards on the VIP Club Membership Program. To update your contact preferences (and start earning VIP Rewards), please login to your account and update your notification preferences.

What if I forgot my VIP Club password?
If you are not able to login to your VIP Club Membership account online (or you forget your VIP Club password), you can reset your information using your VIPID membership number, name, phone number, or email. If you are unable to access your account using the password reset feature, you can ask a store associate for assistance during your next visit or submit a request for assistance through our contact us form here.
If you don't have a current VIP Rewards balance or other Store Credits, receipt history, or Notify Me inventory alerts setup in your account (that you are worried about losing), you also have the option to crease a new VIP Club Membership account. You can sign up for a new VIP Club Membership account at https://www.pullapart.com/vip-club.

What if my VIP Rewards don't show up in my VIP Club Membership account?
VIP Club Members now earn VIP Rewards - 3% store credit - on all qualifying retail purchases of used auto parts at both Pull-A-Part and U-Pull-&-Pay locations*. You must have a verified and activated VIP Club Membership account (and must be opted-in to your preferred contact method - text message or email) in order to earn VIP Rewards.
If your VIP Club Membership is inactive, a store associate will notify you at the time of purchase. You are able to activate (or reactivate) your VIP Club Membership account using the password reset feature in the VIP Club section of the Pull-A-Part website here: https://www.pullapart.com/vip-club.
If your VIP Club Membership account is verified and active, but you do not see a VIP Rewards credit applied to your purchase (will display on your receipt), you may be opted out of your preferred method of contact (text message or email). You will need to opt-in to your preferred contact method in order to start earning VIP Rewards. You can manage your communication preferences by logging into your VIP Club account. Once you update your communication preferences, you will be able to start earning VIP Club Rewards.
Once you are earning VIP Rewards, you can view your VIP Rewards balance in the "Credits" section of your VIP Club Membership account online (this amount will be displayed as "VIP Rewards Credit"). What is the VIP Club and how do I become a member?
The VIP Club Membership Program is our free customer loyalty program for both Pull-A-Part and U-Pull-&-Pay customers. The VIP Club Membership Program allows you to earn VIP Rewards - 3% store credit - on qualified retail purchases of used auto parts, includes an easy way to keep track of your purchases with digital receipts and management of store credits, as well as discounted admissions on every visit to Pull-A-Part or U-Pull-&-Pay.
To join the VIP Club Membership Program (for both Pull-A-Part and U-Pull-&-Pay customers), please visit the Pull-A-Part website at https://www.pullapart.com/vip-club. Pull-A-Part manages the VIP Club Membership Program for both Pull-A-Part and U-Pull-&-Pay customers. U-Pull-&-Pay is now A Pull-A-Part Company and customers of both companies may now use their loyalty club program benefits at all of our stores*.

What if I lose my VIP card?
All VIP Club Membership IDs or "VIP Cards" are now digital (we no longer issue physical VIP Club Membership Cards - so you can't lose your VIP Card anymore). You will need your VIP ID barcode to scan at the store. We email this to you after you sign-up, but you can also access your VIP ID at anytime by logging into your VIP Club account online at https://www.pullapart.com/vip-club. Follow the directions below for additional guidance.
If you don't remember your login information, you are able to reset your password from the main VIP Club Membership page or by going directly to https://www.pullapart.com/vip-club/vip-club-lost-password/. If you are in the store, you can also ask a store associate for assistance. They can look up your VIP Club information for you using the information you registered with.

What days are you open?
Pull-A-Part is open 7 days a week except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Why does Yard Entry close 30 minutes earlier than Sales?
All Admissions closes 30 minutes before Sales which gives our team time to clean-up before the close of the work day.
You can still make a purchase and/or exchange an item, but you cannot be admitted to the yard.

Pulling Parts
Do I need to bring my own tools?
Yes, you need to bring your own tools.
The cars are displayed on stands so you don't need a jack. We supply an A Frame and Hoist to assist removing an engine or a transmission. We also provide a lift to move the engine or transmission to the exit.

Does Pull-A-Part Sell Airbags?
Effective June 1, 2019, Pull-A-Part no longer sells airbags. This decision is for the safety of our customers and is the result of significant manufacturer recalls and related safety issues in the marketplace today. However, we do sell seat airbags with the purchase of certain seats.

Do you sell tires and wheels (rims)?
Yes – we sell both tires and rims. Some are still on the cars and a few are already dismounted at the rear of the stores and available to purchase.
Please remember that since we don't inventory the parts on the vehicles, we don't know the condition, specifics or availability of parts on any of the vehicles at the locations. You can search car inventory online at www.pullapart.com/inventory/ prior to visiting a store to determine if the vehicle is available and then visit your local Pull-A-Part location to see if the part(s) you are looking for is(are) available and in the desired condition.
For interchange - although each vehicle uses a specific manufacturer’s recommended size, many vehicles use the same size tire. So, if tires of the same size are found on a different make/model than yours, they are interchangeable. What is often not interchangeable is the lug pattern of the wheel on which the tire is mounted.

Can I rent a golf cart or bring my own?
We offer golf cart rentals at all Pull-A-Part locations. The cost to rent is $7.50 for the first hour (with a refundable deposit) and $1.88 for each additional 15 minutes.
For safety and liability reasons, we don't allow customers to bring their own golf carts. We also do not allow anything over 200 pounds to be placed in or on the tailgates of the golf carts (such as engines, transmissions, rear ends, etc.). Please see a store associate for assistance with heavier parts.

What types of tools can I bring on the yard?
To remove parts from the vehicles, you'll need to bring the appropriate tools with you. If you’re unsure of what to bring, please check with your local mechanic.
- We don't allow torches, grinders or jacks on the yard. For safety reasons we don’t allow anyone to bring lead acid batteries (i.e. car and motorcycle batteries) and cans full of gas out to the display yard.
- We DO allow small generators (gas or battery - extra gas tanks are not allowed on the yard, so be sure it's full before coming out!) battery powered tools and jumper boxes to help get the job done faster.
We make every effort to set cars safely, including welding the two wheels together that make up stands that we set the cars on. We supply an A Frame and Hoist to assist in the removal of an engine or a transmission and if you need help in moving larger items please ask the store for assistance and we will be happy to try and help.
We also have wheelbarrows - free of charge - available at all locations. You may also bring your own!

Does Pull-A-Part Remove Used Auto Parts From Vehicles?
The only parts we remove from vehicles before they are placed on the display yard are those parts that represent a safety hazard (batteries, airbags), environmental hazard (mercury switches, fluids), or a legal compliance concern (catalytic converters and some metals). Any parts that do not fall into one of these categories are available as used auto parts that can be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis.

How long are vehicles on the yards?
It depends on the location, but vehicles are generally on the yard between 60 to 90 days.

Are the vehicles on the lot emptied of A/C refrigerant?
Yes, the refrigerant and resulting pressure is removed from the system before the vehicle is put on the yard.

Can you provide mileage/odometer details?
Many customers ask about odometer readings because they are curious about vehicle mileage. We don't record this information when vehicles arrive.
As a guide to determine mileage, the average vehicle is driven ~10,000-15,000 miles/year, with our vehicles leaning towards the higher side. You may use the model year and a rough approximation of annual mileage to estimate total miles.
If the vehicle has a mechanical odometer, you would be able to view the recorded mileage on the yard.

Can I purchase keys?
On rare occasion, the keys are in the vehicle when set on the yard - but generally, no; keys are not with the vehicle.

Can I bring a small generator or air compressor?
Yes, you can. Generally, you can bring battery powered tools, jumper boxes and a compressor/generator that you can carry by hand.

Do you help remove engines or transmissions?
All vehicles on display are elevated for you. We supply an A Frame and Hoist to assist in the removal of an engine or a transmission. We also will provide a lift to help you move the engine or transmission to the exit.
To remove parts from the vehicles, you will need to bring the appropriate tools with you. If you are unsure of what to bring, please check with your local mechanic.
We do not allow incendiary tools (spark producing) or jacks on the yard. We do allow small generators, manual and battery powered tools.

Can I buy batteries?
You sure can. Batteries are pulled from the vehicles, tested, and the ones that are still good are placed at the front counter.You will need to go to your local Pull-A-Part location to see if they have the one you need in stock.

Can I buy gas tanks?
The tanks are for sale, but you will have to patch the hole to make it usable. We puncture the fuel tanks to drain the gasoline when we receive and process vehicles.

Do you sell catalytic converters?
We do sell exhaust system components.
As relates to catalytic converters, however, federal law prohibits the sale of used catalytic converters.
During our incoming vehicle processing, the converters are removed and recycled in compliance with law.
