JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Market Car Buyer is a key sales position responsible for locating and acquiring cars from auto auctions, dealers, tow yards, and other sources. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented and demonstrate an ability to achieve target objectives. Additionally, our Market Car Buyer is one of the primary faces of Pull-A-Part and provides the friendly, caring, and positive experience that turns customers into family. Responsibilities & qualifications required for the role include:
- Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service on a daily basis.
- Assist in-store operations by purchasing vehicles directly from onsite customers / sellers.
- Travel within the market to purchase vehicles from auctions, dealers, and tow yards.
- Inspect vehicles prior to purchase to ensure they meet company standards.
- Utilize company systems and software to help determine vehicle purchase prices.
- Negotiate pricing with third party vendors during vehicle acquisition.
- Generate new leads to help grow business operations.
- Maintain communication with our leadership team and update on market conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of experience purchasing vehicles from auto auctions, dealers, etc.
- 1+ years of experience managing and processing car titles and other paperwork.
- Good computer skills and ability to navigate mobile devices.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task.
- Ability to (if needed to) work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work retail store hours (including weekends & overtime). Some holiday work may be required.
- Strong administrative & organizational skills.
- Must have reliable means of transportation to work.
- Preferred qualifications (but not required) include:
- Basic knowledge of auto parts.
- Bi-lingual - ability to speak English & Spanish.
